Getting started
How do I enable the QuickText keyboard on iPhone or iPad?
Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard, choose QuickText, then tap it again and enable “Allow Full Access” only if you want optional features. In any app, tap the globe key on the keyboard until QuickText appears.
How do I use QuickText on a Mac?
Open QuickText once after installing, then look for the QuickText icon in the menu bar. Click it, search for a snippet and select it to paste into the app you are currently using. You can also assign a global shortcut in QuickText settings.
How do I add my first snippet?
Open the app, tap the + button, give the snippet a title, paste your text, and choose a folder or tag. It appears immediately in the keyboard and menu bar.
Keyboard & Full Access
Do I have to grant Full Access?
No. QuickText inserts snippets without Full Access. Full Access is only needed for optional conveniences. Even if you grant it, your keystrokes and snippet content are never sent to us or anyone else. See the Privacy Policy.
The keyboard does not appear in the list. What should I do?
Make sure the QuickText app is fully installed and has been opened at least once. Then reboot the device and check Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards again. On managed (MDM) devices, a restriction may block third-party keyboards.
Can I use QuickText in secure text fields?
iOS may block third-party keyboards in password and other secure fields. This is an Apple privacy protection; QuickText cannot override it.
Sync & purchases
How do I restore my purchase?
Open QuickText → Settings → Restore Purchases. Sign in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase. If the purchase is not found, check that you are using the right Apple Account and that Family Sharing is configured correctly.
How does iCloud sync work?
Enable iCloud sync in QuickText settings. Your snippets are stored in your private iCloud account through Apple CloudKit and appear on devices signed in to the same Apple Account. We cannot read or recover the data. Sync requires iCloud to be enabled on each device.
Does Universal Purchase include the Mac version?
Yes. QuickText is sold as a Universal Purchase: one purchase covers the iPhone, iPad and Mac versions when they are offered under the same App Store listing.
Troubleshooting
A snippet is not inserting. What can I try?
Confirm the cursor is in a regular text field, close and reopen the keyboard, and make sure the snippet is not empty. If the problem persists, update to the latest version and send us the app version, iOS/macOS version and the name of the app where it fails.
How do I back up my snippets?
Enable iCloud sync or keep a copy of your important text elsewhere. You can also export or copy snippet content from the app. Deleting the app without sync or a device backup removes local data.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and select the QuickText purchase. If you need help with a technical issue, email us first.
Privacy & data
What data does QuickText collect?
None from the app. There is no account, analytics or advertising SDK, and snippets stay on your device. Read the full Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual snippets in the app, or uninstall the app to remove all local data. If iCloud sync was enabled, remove synced data through your iCloud storage settings.
