1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the developer of QuickText Expanse (“QuickText”, “the app”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using QuickText, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
If you are using QuickText on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use QuickText on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and Apple’s Usage Rules.
This is a license, not a sale of the app. We retain all rights not expressly granted to you.
3. App Store terms
QuickText is distributed through Apple’s App Store. The following applies:
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for QuickText.
- Apple is not responsible for any product warranty, product claim, or third-party intellectual property claim relating to the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- You must comply with the App Store Terms of Service, including any applicable Usage Rules.
4. Purchase & refunds
QuickText is offered as a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the full app. The price is displayed in the App Store in your local currency before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account by Apple.
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy; we cannot issue refunds directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you have a technical problem, contact us first and we will do our best to help.
If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, you can restore a previous purchase using “Restore Purchases” in the app’s settings.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use QuickText in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except to the extent permitted by law.
- Copy, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute or resell the app or access to it.
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the app.
- Use the app to store or insert content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
- Interfere with the security or normal operation of the app or the App Store.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to the snippets and other text you create in QuickText. We do not claim ownership of your content. Because the app stores it locally and, if you enable sync, in your private iCloud account, we do not access it.
You are responsible for your content and for keeping your own backups. If you delete the app or your device data, snippets that are not synced or backed up may be lost.
7. Intellectual property
The app, this website, and their design, text, graphics, logos and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. “QuickText” and the QuickText logo are our trademarks. Apple, App Store, iPhone, iPad and Mac are trademarks of Apple Inc.
8. Third-party services
The app relies on Apple services such as the App Store and, if you enable it, iCloud. Your use of those services is governed by Apple’s terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
9. Availability & changes
We may release updates that add, change or remove features, or that are required for compatibility with new operating-system versions. We may also suspend or discontinue the app or a feature. We will not intentionally remove a core paid feature from the app you purchased without offering a reasonable alternative.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickText is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every third-party app or future operating-system release. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of QuickText.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use QuickText. We may terminate this license if you materially violate these Terms. You may terminate at any time by deleting the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law — will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the developer’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
